My bodywork journey started with horses in 2012 - and I consider them amongst my greatest teachers.
If not for horses, I may never have stepped through the door and into a world of meaningful purpose as a structural bodyworker.
It wasn’t long before I found myself supporting their riders too.
And from there, into a full time practice with clients ranging from children to high performance athletes.
Supporting everything from general back pain, to concussion and long standing discomfort.
I enjoy the process of troubleshooting each unique situation to identify the root cause of the sessions focus.
And then witnessing quality of life and energy levels naturally improve.
ConTact C.A.R.E was my foundational training - something I took to Advanced Practitioner and Instructor level.
I lived and breathed bodywork - and as far as I was concerned I was doing this work for the rest of my life.
All that changed in 2021 when a drunk driver put me and my family through the side of a house…
Now, I was the one needing support. I was the one who was broken.
And so began my journey of mental, physical and spiritual rehabilitation.
The quest for wholeness led me to Europe, Africa, Asia, Central & South America working with healers, learning new skills - discovering a path to wholeness.
My worldview & skill base widened as I came to work from more than just the world of surprise impact trauma that ConTact C.A.R.E specialises in.
I learned to embrace a far more holistic approach.
So while my foundation is bone - the work is much wider.
I know through first hand experience what it’s like to have your world knocked out from underneath you.
I don’t work from theory - I work from direct experience.
The Bone Code is an evolution of my years as a ConTact C.A.R.E Instructor - into something that offers a holistic approach to comfort and injury recovery.
There is an intelligence inside our cells that knows how to be healthy, strong and vibrant - we simply need to find the keys to activate its potential.
And that, is the purpose of the Bone Code.

Most hands-on methods work with muscle, fascia, and soft tissue - and these absolutely have their place.
But bone is where the story begins.
Bone is the deepest structural foundation in the body. Every muscle, nerve, organ, and fascial line ultimately attaches to it.
This means when bone carries unresolved trauma - from a fall, an accident, surgery, or years of accumulated strain - everything connected to it carries that trauma too.
When bone sustains a direct impact, the surrounding tissues contract and guard that site. This is nature's protection response - fast, automatic, and completely unconscious. The problem is that this protective response doesn't always switch off. The site stays guarded, overcharged, frozen in a state of alert - sometimes for years, sometimes for decades.
And because bone connects to everything, that single frozen site sends a signal through the entire system. Which is why your shoulder tension might trace back to an old ankle injury. Why your migraines might originate in jaw compression. Why a tailbone impact from twenty years ago might be why your balance has never quite been right.
The Bone Code works at this foundational level - not chasing symptoms through the soft tissue, but finding the skeletal origin point and creating the conditions for the body to release it.
When the roots are strong, the tree stands tall.
Things improve temporarily, then return. If you've ever felt like the root of the problem isn't being reached - you may be right. The Bone Code works at the skeletal origin of discomfort, not the site where symptoms surface.
Whether it happened last month or ten years ago, the body can hold the imprint of impact long after the visible injury has healed. If your recovery has plateaued, or if you've simply never felt quite right since, there may be skeletal trauma sites still active in your system.
You don't have to be in significant pain to benefit from this work. Structural imbalances accumulate quietly - often through old injuries, postural patterns, years of physical demand. If your energy, movement, or comfort isn't where you want it to be, a skeletal assessment can bring surprising revelations.

Jonathan has helped me personally with issues with my back after a disastrous fall last year when I broke my wrist. It wasn’t my wrist he helped me with but rather my back where I landed on my bum that was the issue. I had a double appointment with my gorgeous dog who had developed issues with other dogs becoming very aggressive when she saw them coming towards her. Big or small didn’t really matter. Got to the point where i had to walk her out of the dog parks on a lead. Jonathan, through a few treatments, helped her to be more relaxed, relieve the tension that was obviously there and calm her down where I now walk in dog parks with no lead attached. Truly something I thought I’d never achieve! I’m extremely grateful of his profession. Thank you. I have told my story to many.. some have come to see you as I have. You are truly a lifesaver! itself is so gentle, its like nothing I’ve ever experienced before. You can’t help but relax into the process! I’ve tried a lot of different things over the years but Jonathan brought relief to pains I didn’t even know I had!
Seriously man... I'm still in shock with how good my back feels today. It had been months and you had your hands on me for less than an hour and it was gone! I know you explained it, I still don't really understand what you did, but I honestly dont need to know. I'm mobile again - seriously good stuff this.
Jonathan started working with my horses long before me and my family. But now it doesn't matter who's got the ache, pain or challenge. Our first point of call is this man. We've experienced consistent improvements and our horses love their sessions as much as we do.

Every session begins with a brief conversation about what's brought you in — whether that's a specific injury, chronic discomfort, restricted movement, or simply a sense that something structurally isn't right. From there, we find the position your body is most comfortable in (lying, seated, or standing), locate the skeletal sites holding unresolved trauma, and use gentle hands-on contact to support the body's own correction process. Throughout the session I'll check in on how you're feeling and what's changing. We close with feedback on what was found, what released, and recommended next steps.
No. The Bone Code works by moving away from pain, not into it. The contact is gentle and intentional — no cracking, no forceful adjustments, no strong pressure. Most clients describe sessions as deeply relaxing. Occasionally a site of old trauma can feel tender when first contacted, but we follow comfort as our guide and nothing is pushed through resistance.
Those approaches primarily work with soft tissue, joints, and mechanical alignment — all valuable in their own right. The Bone Code works at the skeletal level, looking for the root cause of tension and discomfort rather than the site where symptoms are showing up. This is why a shoulder problem might be addressed through the ankle, or a headache through the jaw — we're following the structural origin, not chasing the symptom. The work is also significantly gentler than most hands-on approaches, with no manipulation or adjustment of joints.
Comfortable, loose clothing. The work is done fully clothed, so there's no need to undress. Avoid anything restrictive or heavily layered. If you're coming from work, bringing a change of clothes is perfectly fine.
This varies between individuals and depends on the nature and history of the injury. Some people notice significant change in a single session. Long-standing or complex situations typically respond over a series of sessions as the body progressively releases layers of held trauma. After your first session I'll give you a clearer sense of what I'd recommend based on what came up.
Quite possibly — and long-standing situations that haven't responded to other approaches are actually where this work tends to show its greatest results. The reason is that chronic, unresolved discomfort often has a skeletal origin that standard soft-tissue approaches don't reach. When the root cause at bone level is addressed, changes can occur that haven't been possible through other means. That said, every person is different, and I won't make promises I can't keep — which is why we offer a full refund if you feel no benefit from your session.
Yes. If you feel no benefit from your session, I'll refund the full price. In over a decade of this work, I've never had to issue that refund — but the offer stands because I believe in what this work does.
Yes. The Bone Code is non-invasive, uses no force, and works entirely within the comfort range of the client. It is safe for children, elderly clients, post-surgical recovery, and those with complex or sensitive conditions. If you have a specific medical situation you're concerned about, reach out before booking and we can discuss whether this is the right fit for you.
People respond differently. Some feel immediate relief and a sense of lightness or ease. Others feel tired as the body integrates the changes — this is normal and worth honouring with rest where possible. Occasionally changes continue to develop over the following 24–72 hours as the system settles into its new state. Drinking plenty of water after a session supports this process. I'll give you specific aftercare guidance at the end of your appointment.
This has been a significant part of my own personal healing journey and a strong focus of my clinical work. Concussion symptoms often persist because the cranial and cervical skeletal structure continues to hold the imprint of impact long after the initial injury has "healed." Addressing these structural sites directly can produce meaningful change in symptoms that have been present for months or years. If concussion is your primary concern, mention this when booking so I can ensure appropriate time and focus.
The Bone Code operates out of Okato village. There is plenty of parking and it's a peaceful setting surrounded by nature.
